1) On-Site Locator Installation

Front and back of the AN-500: copying the last 4 digits of the MAC address from the back label onto a front label
  1. Label the front
    • Read the last 4 digits of the UWB MAC address on the back label and write them on the front of the locator with masking tape.
    • The back label is not visible after installation, so label before installing. The S/N and UWB MAC address on the back label are used in 5. Hardware Registration, so photograph the label before installing.
    • This makes each corner’s locator easy to identify, and is used in 6. Activating Positioning to match corners to locators during plan placement.
    • If the device ships with identification already attached to the front, use the existing marking.
Comparison of wall mounting and tripod mounting: installation height, locator orientation, cable routing, clearance from metal
There are two installation methods: wall mounting (permanent) and tripod mounting (temporary · demo). The front orientation, the cable port facing down, and the metal clearance rule apply equally to both.
Metal objects can interfere with positioning signals. Do not install locators close to metal objects (e.g., shelves, pillars, refrigeration units). Keep at least 0.5 m between each locator and any metal object.
  1. Mount the locators
    • Install the locators at the four corners of the detection area.
    • The recommended installation height is 2.4 to 3 m; closer to 3 m is better. The minimum is 2 m.
    Wall mounting (permanent)
    • Fix the locator to the wall at 2.4 to 3 m from the floor with double-sided tape.
    • Install vertically so the LED window faces the inside of the store and the cable port faces down.
    • Install with the back of the locator (the S/N label side) against the wall.
    • When installing at a wall corner, place it as close to the corner as possible.
    • For rented spaces, confirm in advance whether the walls may be marked.
    Tripod mounting (temporary · demo)
    • Installs without damaging walls, making it suitable for demos and temporary setups.
    • Even when placing on a desk, keep the locator at 2 m or higher.
  2. Connect power
    • Connect USB-C power (5V/3A) to each locator. Secure cables running across the floor with paper tape to prevent tripping and disconnection.
    • When power is connected, the two LEDs on the front light up white, then change color as the device boots. There is one LED at the top and one at the bottom: the top LED shows UWB initialization status, and the bottom LED shows boot, network, server connection, and data transmission status. See the image and tables below for the meaning of each color.

What you see on-site
The locators are pre-registered with the Wi-Fi details you provided, so shortly after you connect power the normal state is top green, bottom blue (server connected).
  • Bottom blinking purple and light blue alternately: the locator cannot connect to the registered Wi-Fi. Confirm the SSID and password you provided match the on-site Wi-Fi and that the network is 2.4 GHz; if it continues even though they match, contact OneS1ght Support.
  • Bottom yellow: the locator is not registered (before Wi-Fi setup). Contact OneS1ght Support.
  • Whether positioning actually works is confirmed in Verification, after OneS1ght Support completes placement and cluster setup.

2) Notifying OneS1ght Support

Once the bottom LED on all 4 locators is blue, notify OneS1ght Support (onesight-support@onecheck.co.kr). OneS1ght Support then carries out locator placement, cluster apply, and OneS1ght integration, and notifies you of ‘Deployment Complete’.
Keep the locators powered and the Wi-Fi on until you receive the ‘Deployment Complete’ notice. After Deployment Complete, positioning keeps working even if Wi-Fi drops and the bottom LED blinks.
