# 8. Verification

> Confirm the installed positioning infrastructure actually works, and know what to do when it does not.

## 1) Before You Start

> [!CAUTION]
>
> Verification requires an iPhone with UWB support.
>
> * Device: iPhone 12 or later (with a UWB chip)
> * iOS: 27.0 or later

Have the verification app (demo app) and the installation guide provided by your contact ready.

Confirm all the steps below are complete. Any incomplete step can prevent positioning from working properly.

| Item | Document |
| - | - |
| Building and floors registered (if registering a plan, plan uploaded and scale set as well) | [3. Space Registration](/en/locator/spaces) |
| Locators installed and powered | [4. On-Site Locator Installation](/en/locator/install) |
| All 4 locators provisioned and registered | [5. Hardware Registration](/en/locator/hardware) |
| Coordinates entered and \[Apply to Devices] complete | [6. Activating Positioning](/en/locator/placement) |
| Partner key issued and registered in OneS1ght | [7. Positioning Data Integration](/en/locator/connect) |

> [!NOTE]
>
> No code entry is needed during verification. Install the verification app (demo app)
> the same way as any regular app and check that positioning works.

> [!NOTE]
>
> The verification app and installation guide are provided by your contact. If you have not received them,\\
>
> request them at [support@ones1ght.com](mailto:support@ones1ght.com).

## 2) Checking Locator Power

Confirm all 4 installed locators show a green top LED and a blue bottom LED (server connected).
If any locator is not lit, check its power connection.
Locators whose cluster is already 'Deployment Complete' keep positioning even if Wi-Fi drops and the bottom LED blinks purple and light blue
([Troubleshooting](/en/locator/troubleshooting#locator-bottom-led-blinks-purple-and-light-blue)).
(For LED positions and color meanings, see the LED tables in [4. On-Site Locator Installation](/en/locator/install).)

* Do not proceed to the next step if even one locator is powered off.
* Stable positioning requires at least 4 locators working properly.

## 3) Checking the OneS1ght Connection

Confirm OneS1ght is loading the actual plan information from GeoSpace.

In the OneS1ght sidebar, go to \[Organization settings] and check the integration status badge on the
Intelligence Hub (Mobile) row under API integrations, in Geospace Integration.

| Badge | Meaning | Action |
| - | - | - |
| Connected | ·The partner key is registered and the integration is working | ·Move on to the next step |
| Not connected | ·No partner key is registered | ·Register it in [7. Positioning Data Integration](/en/locator/connect) |
| Invalid key | ·The registered key is not valid | ·Re-issue and register the key in [7. Positioning Data Integration](/en/locator/connect) |

Click \[Edit settings] to see the registered date and the last validated time.

Then go to [Space Management](/en/console/areas) and confirm the actual plan appears for the selected building and floor.\

If a floor with a registered plan shows as 'Building without linked plan', re-check the integration status and whether [3. Space Registration](/en/locator/spaces) is complete.
Floors without a registered plan show as 'Building without linked plan'; that is normal.

## 4) Running the Verification App

**(1) Install the app**

Tap a badge below to install and open the **OneS1ght** app from the store.

[![Download on the App Store — OneS1ght iOS app](https://mintcdn.com/onecheck/E2whs2uAjcPfu5dJ/images/demo/app-store-badge-en.svg?fit=max\&auto=format\&n=E2whs2uAjcPfu5dJ\&q=85\&s=84b17348e9e863ef20b68e34a2e13534)](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/ones1ght/id6810071872)

[![Get it on Google Play — OneS1ght Android app](https://mintcdn.com/onecheck/E2whs2uAjcPfu5dJ/images/demo/google-play-badge-en.svg?fit=max\&auto=format\&n=E2whs2uAjcPfu5dJ\&q=85\&s=52a8dcaecfbc769cfac1a26b5bbe80f6)](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ones1ght.onboarding.android\&pcampaignid=web_share)

**(2) Grant permissions**

The first launch shows permission requests. All the permissions below must be allowed for positioning to work.

| Permission | Purpose |
| - | - |
| Location | ·Used to show your position on the map |
| Bluetooth | ·Used to receive signals from the UWB locators |

**(3) Log in**

![Verification app login screen: email and password inputs with a login button, plus Google Workspace and Microsoft Entra sign-in](https://mintcdn.com/onecheck/5u3BErG_mEDOJqyL/images/demo/8.verify-app-login.png?fit=max\&auto=format\&n=5u3BErG_mEDOJqyL\&q=85\&s=11724a67e87bf0ce5d8c11bf90261cc3)

When the login screen appears, log in with the email and password registered in OneS1ght.
If your email is not registered you cannot log in; ask an organization administrator (owner or manager) to invite you.

* Always run the app inside the positioning area where the locators are installed.
Positioning may not work properly outside the detection area.

**(4) Positioning screen**

When the app detects nearby locator signals over Bluetooth, it automatically recognizes the GeoSpace
building and floor those locators are registered to, and positioning starts. No manual building or floor selection is needed.

**Before locators are detected (Looking for locators)**

![Verification app screen before locator detection: looking-for-locators notice and location-collection-ready state](https://mintcdn.com/onecheck/5u3BErG_mEDOJqyL/images/demo/8.verify-app-searching.png?fit=max\&auto=format\&n=5u3BErG_mEDOJqyL\&q=85\&s=facfc1d47a4f16577b8bceea6fe9b003)

* Right after login, the 'Looking for locators' screen stays up while no locators are detected.
* Moving into the detection area where the locators are installed proceeds automatically.

**After locators are detected (positioning starts)**

![Positioning screen after locator detection: recognized building and floor with reception status, pause and settings buttons, your position dot on the plan, zones, bottom status, and view log](https://mintcdn.com/onecheck/5u3BErG_mEDOJqyL/images/demo/8.verify-app-auto-mapping.png?fit=max\&auto=format\&n=5u3BErG_mEDOJqyL\&q=85\&s=bd4a1daf07fa354b1d864d01df7d27ca)

Once even one locator on a floor is detected, that floor is recognized automatically. The screen is laid out as follows.

**① Recognized building and floor**

When a locator is detected, the recognized building and floor name and the 'Receiving your position' status appear automatically.

**② Pause button**

Positioning starts automatically with no start action; use this to pause and resume it.

| State | Button | Locator markers |
| - | - | - |
| Positioning | Pause icon | Green |
| Paused | Play icon | Gray |

* Locator markers can also show gray (inactive) when positioning is unstable.

**③ Settings button**

Opens the settings screen.

**④ Checking your position**

If your position dot appears on the plan, positioning has started properly.
Verify its accuracy as follows.

* Stand at the center of the detection area formed by the 4 locators and confirm the position dot appears on the plan.
* Walk slowly from one end of the detection area to the other and confirm the dot follows your actual path.
* Stand directly under each locator and confirm the dot appears at that corner on the plan.
This is the most reliable way to verify the coordinates and plan placement.
* Stand at a spot recognizable on the plan, such as a shelf or the entrance, and confirm the dot appears near it.
* The app may show the plan in a different orientation than the GeoSpace screen, so orient yourself by the entrance.
* The dot drifts slightly even when you stand still. As long as it stays near where you are standing, this is normal.

> [!NOTE]
>
> **Floors without a registered plan**\\
>
> Only the position dot is shown, with no plan. Positioning has started once the building and floor are recognized automatically and 'Receiving your position' appears;
> to check accuracy, stand under each locator and confirm the dot appears toward that corner of the screen.

**⑤ Zones**

* Zones can be added in OneS1ght [Space Management](/en/console/areas).
* Zones registered in OneS1ght appear on the plan immediately.

**⑥ Bottom status and \[View log]**

The bottom shows the positioning status ('Finding where you are', etc.).

**When permissions are missing**

![Screen shown without location permission: a cannot-start-positioning notice with an Open Settings button](https://mintcdn.com/onecheck/5u3BErG_mEDOJqyL/images/demo/8.verify-app-permission-denied.png?fit=max\&auto=format\&n=5u3BErG_mEDOJqyL\&q=85\&s=42948ee4670822a8bc3b07352e6a6272)

| State | Display | Action |
| - | - | - |
| No location permission | ·A screen saying positioning cannot start is shown | ·Click \[Open Settings] and allow location access |
| Bluetooth off | ·'Please turn on Bluetooth. Bluetooth is needed to find locators.' is shown | ·Turn Bluetooth on and continue |

**(5) View log**

Clicking \[View log] at the bottom opens an event panel showing positioning progress
and zone enter and exit events in chronological order.

![Event panel: event list with delete, expand, and close buttons](https://mintcdn.com/onecheck/5u3BErG_mEDOJqyL/images/demo/8.verify-app-event-log.png?fit=max\&auto=format\&n=5u3BErG_mEDOJqyL\&q=85\&s=ecf6d7260a0664a6247c751b355cb36f)

| Part | Function |
| - | - |
| ① Event list | ·Shows positioning start, locator found, and zone enter and exit events in order |
| ② Delete button | ·Clears the event list |
| ③ Expand button | ·Expands the panel |
| ④ Close button | ·Closes the panel |
| ⑤ Filters | ·Shows All · Notices · In · Out events separately |

## 5) When Positioning Is Not Working Properly

In the table below, first find **what the screen looks like**, then jump to the matching troubleshooting entry.

| If you see this | Most common cause | Link |
| - | - | - |
| No dot appears at all | ·Cluster not applied·Device without UWB | [Troubleshooting](/en/locator/troubleshooting#no-position-dot-in-the-app) |
| A "Can't find locator signal" screen appears | ·Left the detection area·Locator signal problem | [Troubleshooting](/en/locator/troubleshooting#locator-signal-cannot-be-found) |
| Standing under a locator, but the dot shows at a **different corner** | ·Wrong coordinates, or the locator placed at the wrong spot on the plan | [Troubleshooting](/en/locator/troubleshooting#position-shows-in-the-wrong-place) |
| The dot is **consistently shifted to one side** | ·The reference point or reference direction differs from reality | [Troubleshooting](/en/locator/troubleshooting#position-shows-in-the-wrong-place) |
| You moved a few steps but the dot moved **much farther, or barely** | ·Plan scale differs from real dimensions | [Troubleshooting](/en/locator/troubleshooting#moved-distance-does-not-match-reality) |
| The dot **jumps around badly** while you stand still | ·Metal interference·Locators mounted too low | [Troubleshooting](/en/locator/troubleshooting#position-shakes-or-jumps-badly) |

## 6) Checking Collected Data

Once positioning works in the verification app, confirm in the console that the collected coordinates are accumulating in OneS1ght.
In the OneS1ght console, go to \[Data Sources] → 'Positioning Data (Mobile)' and confirm that the status in the Data Overview is **Active** and the positioning coordinate count is higher than before verification.
To query or download the raw coordinates and zone events, see [Mobile Positioning Data Lookup](/en/console/data-sources/mobile-positioning).
