# AI Chat

> Have real-time conversations with the AI assistant

## Starting a New Chat

Click the **New Chat** button at the top of the sidebar to start a new conversation.

## Chat Features

### Real-time Streaming

AI responses are displayed in real-time as they stream. A spinner appears in the sidebar while a response is being generated.

### Follow-up Questions

During a conversation, you can ask **follow-up questions** based on previous answers.
You can expand the list of follow-up questions for each conversation in the sidebar.

### Conversation History

You can view your conversation list organized by date in the sidebar.

| Group       | Description                        |
| ----------- | ---------------------------------- |
| Today       | Conversations from today           |
| Yesterday   | Conversations from yesterday       |
| Last 7 Days | Conversations from the past 7 days |
| Earlier     | Older conversations                |

### Edit and Delete Conversations

Hover over a conversation item to reveal **Edit** and **Delete** buttons.

## Archiving Conversations

Conversations you no longer need can be archived. Archived conversations can be found in the [Archive](/en/features/archive).
